The farmer warily enters the storehouse, a cudgel in one hand while the other held a lantern aloft. In the dark, the smacking of jaws and snapping of timber make him flinch and tremble but he steels himself and waves the lantern over the shed. He blanches as the light waves over a small troop of six-legged critters that snack upon the timbers, jars, and anything else they can get their split lower jaws around. While they are merely the size of pups, as the light plumbs the deeper depths of the room, it uncovers a matured paschial that fixes cold eyes on the farmer as it crushes a beam in its maw.
Art by Vildevitus#2346
Happy Easter, everybody! Hope it's a good one for you today. The idea for this monster came from the classic egg hunt and features some awesome art from Vildevitus#2346. Unfortunately, I was extremely busy this week and wasn't able to prepare my usual thing with encounter hooks and the like. But I did want to make an omnivore that lays eggs in settlements and are extremely dangerous. This was sort of a delicate balancing act because I didn't want to make anything too powerful, but still a threat to smaller settlements. The DR against non-magical materials and extreme omnivore really help.
Pathfinder 1e:
There's nothing too crazy with the PF2e paschial with Sundering Bite replacing 1e's Greater Sunder.
Pathfinder 2e:
Blue's D&D 5e:
Unfortunately, it has been a hyper busy week so I don't have encounter hooks ready this time. We will have some for tomorrow's Monster Monday, which features a requested monster from Kingdom Hearts.
Have a happy Easter!
