Gonna try to mix up franchise monsters with more original ideas (even when I'm just using art that I found). So, this week, we're going back to the world of Monster Hunter for a creature I received a request for but was more than happy to do. Hope you're not too shocked that I'm doing the Thunder Wolf Wyvern - the zinogre!
I watched multiple videos and did extensive research in my attempt to figure out exactly how I wanted to stat out this absolute beast. I'm happy with where it ended up even if nothing's exact. Originally, its ability to charge itself and howl were two different abilities, but after discussing it with Blue, I decided to collapse down into one. I was also convinced that we should start designing some armor material for some of the MH creatures we've designed, so I've included that as well. I based the pricing off of a couple things from PF but am still unsure, so any criticism you have on it is very much appreciated!

Pathfinder 1e Zinogre Hide:
For the 2e version, I ended up dropping the horn attack as they felt redundant compared it its jaws Strike. The only trait that felt fitting for them was 'deadly' and making it without traits begs the question of why ever use them in comparison to its other Strikes. When I'm designing something for 2e, I want there to be a reason to use its different Strikes - each should have their advantage, use, or place in the monster's design. Even with dropping the horns, I'm really happy with how the rest of it turned out and am quite proud of the puns on this one. Eventually, I'll run out of them.

ENCOUNTERS
Lightning Strikes Twice: After their latest escapades, the heroes have made a new enemy that has dispatched a ferocious bounty hunter/assassin after them – an amoral storm giant and his pet zinogre. The pair hunt the heroes across their conquests, waiting for the right moment to strike. The zinogre leads the charge into the fray while its master uses strategically placed chain lightning to keep its pet in its charged state. They seek to retreat when the fight grows too harrowing but don’t give up on their contract easily.
Shock and Awww: Recently, a zinogre has been descending from its mountain home and stealing away livestock, dragging them up the mountain. The heroes are asked to put a stop to this menace and must either confront it the next time it descends or track it up the mountain before it can cause any further damage to the village. If the heroes engage the zinogre in the village, it retreats once brought low enough, fleeing back up into the mountain. Following the tracks leads the heroes to the zinogre’s den – and her young pups that she has been getting food for.
