The faint hum of crackling electricity fills the air as the shadow overhead flits swiftly from tree branch to tree branch. Smaller animals scatter at the sound until it is a lonely boar, too engrossed in digging up mushrooms and tubers to notice the figure prowling through the dense jungle canopy. Crimson eyes fix upon the unaware prey as the hair of the predator stands upon end, now coursing with electricity. Muscles tense along the lithe body before it launches itself from the tree, thin flaps flaring between its limbs as it silently glides down upon the boar. By the time the distracted beast realizes the danger it is in, it’s too late. A serpentine maw closes about it as fierce claws rake its side, charged with electricity to stun the critter. Its prize obtained, the hunting tobi-kadachi begins to eat as electricity zaps through its fur.
Gonna be brief this time because I'm having internet issues and I have to get to work shortly. I'd had the tobi-kadachi done for a while and even had the chance to test him out, but I just hadn't posted him because I was distracted by all the other creatures I was doing. However, I received a request for him over on the blog and realized now was a good time to post him! I designed the tobi-kadachi as a swift attacker that prefers keeping on the move and making a flurry of attacks using pounce as well as its feats like Mobility and Spring Attack. Its constant motion allows it to build up its static charge, which it uses to empower its attacks with its electricity - as well as defend itself against attackers, which is creative license on my part. It can also use the skin flaps along the side of its body to glide.
Pathfinder 1e:
This past week left me with something of a headache because my Word document where I keep all my Pathfinder 2e stat blocks went haywire. Images are fused together, lines are indented where they shouldn't be, and the watermark has become a regular image for some reason. I'm not sure what's going on with it, so I have to recreate the entire document, but an issue I've run into there is that I can't the Perception to be flush with the traits. I'll continue working on it and trying to figure it out, but also still have to swap over all the old monsters.
More on point, the only thing I really changed with the tobi-kadachi is giving it the Dynamic Charge action, allowing it to cover ground rapidly and make attacks along the way without triggering reactions. This is a slight stand-in for its pounce or Spring Attack abilities, but also denies opponents the opportunity of using reactions against it. So while it may afford a few less options, it still has some nice benefits.

Blue's D&D 5e:
As a result of losing all that stuff on the PF2e document, I unfortunately don't have any encounter hooks for you this week. I apologize and will try to be more on top of things with this upcoming week.
