I'm back for another Monster Monday! I am not terribly familiar with D&D 5th edition, but I found somebody who converts some of the monsters I do into a 5e stat block, which pretty awesome.
This monster comes from Greek mythology and were a flock slain by Hercules for his sixth labor. In the myth, he couldn't venture into the swamp they lived in because he would start to sink into it. Athena gave him some noise maker that he took to a mountain that overlooked the swamp and used it to scare the birds from their nests. He then used arrows tipped with the poisonous blood of the hydra to shoot and kill them.
All of the abilities featured are based off of their actual capabilities in mythology except for one feature I left out - they had poisonous dung. Interesting tidbit, but one that I wasn't quite sure what to do with.
This image was done by David Demaret for a board game called Mythic Battles Pantheon. I make no claim to this picture and have no intention of profiting off of it.
Part of me feels like these should be a higher CR given that they're flying creatures with a ranged attack, but I tried to keep them balanced.

And I found somebody willing to make D&D 5e conversions of the monsters I do! I know this is what most people play nowadays, so I hope you guys like it. The work was provided by Blue (as he asked to be credited).
So here's the D&D 5e version! (The link includes an extra monster I will post in the future https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/XSVlrnPq)
I enjoyed working on this creature, as simple as it was. Hope you all like it as well, but still feel free to criticize. I'm always looking to improve.
Have a Monstrous Monday!
