Doom Eternal is coming out later this month and what better way to get hyped for it than to throw one at your players! This was actually a request from somebody else, but I still had fun doing it. I feel like I could have gone with a higher CR for it, but it's a pretty straight forward monster.
I peeked through the Technology Guide a bit when it came to building this guy. He was actually a little more physically oriented before a I shifted some of his feats around, but I lik where he ended up.
Pathfinder 1e:
The 2e version was one of the easier builds I've done in a while, probably because of how straight forward it is.
Pathfinder 2e:
Blue's D&D 5e:
Ability-wise, we ended up basing it more on the 2016 version of it simply because it had a greater variety of attacks and abilities. However, it's a TTRPG, so if you like the imagery of the original version better, go for it. That was Blue's position as well. In the first edition version, most of its resistances and the like were based on those possessed by the general demon race in the setting, but they don't seem to have those same resistances in 2e. I'm not super tied to them, but I did really like the idea of a weakness to electricity, playing with the idea that it wreaks havoc with the cyberdemon's systems. Please share your thoughts and critiques!
Have a Monstrous Monday!
