What happens when a foolish wizard uses in a scroll in an area of unbound magic? Usually nothing good. But sometimes, the act produces life. Take a look at the occult ooze, the arcane inkling!

An arcane inkling coming into being.
I've been getting designing oozes recently. There's something really enjoyable about it, trying to balance their traditionally low AC with the appropriate amount of HP and resistances. This one is a little bit better at avoiding attacks than most oozes so it isn't as sturdy as them either.
Pathfinder 1e:
I'm a little disappointed at the lack of oozes in the 2e Pathfinder Bestiary though there have been some decent supplements in the released adventure paths. I'm hoping for some fun new oozes in Bestiary 2, but until then, I'll just keep making my own to use.

ENCOUNTER HOOKS
Ink Well: A small group of arcane inklings have infested the library of the local wizarding school or a prominent book and scroll shop. The heroes are asked to remove the voracious readers before they devour the entire inventory of books. However, they must be cautious in regards to fighting among the books because errant attacks can destroy what they’re being hired to protect.
Tower of Power: When an old wizard passes away, his last remaining relative is apprehensive about whatever experiments his great-great-uncle twice-removed got up to in his tower. He hires a band of adventurers to investigate the tower to ensure there’s nothing too dangerous in there and might even promise them some of the magic items they find within. However, an arcane inkling has been gorging itself on the wizard’s spell book, expanding its collection of spells that it can’t wait to test out.
Have a Monstrous Monday!
