Merry Christmas and happy holidays, everybody! My present to you guys is another monster, a spirit of the season that was fun to design - the triune spirit (with art by Vildevitus#2346)!
An incorporeal undead infused with the chill of winter, it was inspired by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future as featured in Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol. This fractured soul is spread across time and can inflict that same fate upon others with a frosty touch. It can also grant a creature a glimpse at their past and future to help them remember of important memories or warn them of what awaits on the path they travel. I tried to originally design it so that whenever it was reduced to 0 hp, it regenerated all its hp and moved to its next form. However, that became difficult to balance with the right amount of hp, Charisma score, and the DCs of its abilities, leading me to have to settle for the incremental abilities. It wields a number of spells, mostly centered around time and winter with some of them being connected to its specific form.
Pathfinder 1e:
Thankfully for the PF2e version, I was able to give it a smaller pool of HP that fully regenerated when it moves between forms. There weren't as many time spells and the like for me to play around with, but I was able to work in the important parts of the creature with its Generous Gift and Touch of Time.
Pathfinder 2e:
While I was aiming to create a fairly powerful creature that could be used as a boss if needed and modified to fit that role, Blue went all out to create a pretty gnarly boss monster.
Blue's DD 5e Version:
This was a quick one because I have Christmas things to get to so once again, I want to wish you a merry Christmas and happy holidays
